Exterior painting of home- To include front clapboards, all trim on home, shutters, and doors. This will not include shingles on sides and back of home, and also does not include actual window sash- we will not be taking out storm windows to paint window sash.
Clapboards, trim, and shutters will be scraped and sanded as needed to remove loose flaking paint.
Any areas that have mildew on the front clapboards or trim will be washed off with a mild bleach solution.
Bare areas will be spot primed.
All open joints, gaps, and seams will be caulked.
We will apply 2 complete coats of Sherwin Williams Satin Duration premium paint.
Front of house and all trim will be painted with white satin Duration paint.
Shutters will be painted red satin Duration to match existing color.
Doors will be painted your choice of color.
Cast iron drain pipe in back of house will be scraped and sanded, then primed and painted black.
Downspouts on home will be removed while painting and reinstalled upon completion. We understand a few of them may need to be replaced and you may or may not have some pieces to repair them- if not we will purchase the pieces we need to make them operate properly.
We will be replacing rotted pieces of trim which will include windowsill on right side of house; rotted corner board on side/ back of house will be cut back and a new piece will be installed; any other areas of rot that we find during the painting process will also be included in this price.
Shutters will be removed, scraped, sanded, painted, and reinstalled upon completion.
Labor and Materials: $7,900
While working we will taking precautions to cover the immediate area to catch as many paint flakes as possible.
Upon completion the perimeter of the house will be thoroughly raked and paint chips will be removed.
Additional option- Back of home reshingle small area where the heater is
If you have the heater removed and you would like to have us reshingle this small area while we are there, it will be an additional $200.
Once heater is removed, we will need to add plywood to fill in the missing void, then shingle to match existing.
Upon acceptance of this estimate we can provide you a copy of our workers comp and liability insurance.
