Marc Nelson, Second Generation
When you call Nelson Painting, Marc is the one who shows up. As the son of founder Burt Nelson, he grew up on job sites learning every aspect of the trade — from surface preparation and product selection to the finish work that separates a good paint job from a great one.
Marc personally walks every estimate. He will be at your property assessing the scope, discussing your goals, and recommending the right approach — not a salesperson reading from a script. That direct involvement continues through the project: Marc leads the crew, manages the timeline, and makes sure the finished result matches what was promised.
With decades of hands-on experience, Marc has built Nelson Painting’s reputation the same way his father did — one satisfied customer at a time, through word-of-mouth referrals earned by consistently delivering quality work.
The Nelson Legacy: Founded in 1960
Burt Nelson started this company in 1960 with a simple philosophy: do honest work, use quality materials, and treat every home like it was your own. That philosophy built a painting business that has outlasted six decades of competitors, economic downturns, and industry changes.
When Burt passed in 2013, he left behind more than a company — he left a standard. Marc carries that standard forward today, and the third generation is already on the crew. Marc Nelson Jr. works alongside his father, learning the same preparation techniques and work ethic that have defined Nelson Painting since the beginning.
