Our Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Nelson Painting, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our website, contact us, request an estimate, become a customer, or exchange text messages or email with us.

Scope of This Policy

This policy covers information we collect through our website, by phone, by text message, by email, through online forms, and in the course of providing services at your property. It does not cover the practices of businesses we do not own or control, including any third-party website you reach through a link on our site.

By using our website or communicating with us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use our website or submit information to us.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

We collect the information you provide directly, which typically includes your name, mailing or service address, phone number (including mobile number), email address, the details of the work you are asking about, photographs or documents you send us, scheduling preferences, and any notes or messages you send.

Information we create in the course of serving you

Once you become a customer we also keep records such as estimates and quotes, work orders, service history, appointment records, invoices, and payment status.

Payment information

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Card and bank account numbers are submitted directly to those processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. See the section on cookies and analytics below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your questions and prepare estimates or quotes;
  • schedule, confirm, and perform the services you request;
  • send you service-related communications such as appointment confirmations, arrival windows, scheduling changes, invoices, and payment reminders;
  • process payments and maintain billing records;
  • provide customer support and follow up on completed work;
  • maintain the safety and security of our property, our people, and our systems;
  • keep records required for tax, insurance, licensing, and warranty purposes;
  • understand how our website is used so we can improve it;
  • send you marketing or promotional messages, where you have asked to receive them or where permitted by law — you can opt out at any time; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Text Messaging (SMS) and Your Mobile Information

If you provide us with your mobile number, we may communicate with you by text message about your estimate, appointment, service, or invoice. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for those purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers who help us deliver the messages themselves — for example our scheduling software and messaging carrier — and only for that purpose.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. We will send one confirmation and then stop sending text messages. Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of phone calls or email, and we may still need to reach you another way about work already scheduled at your property. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at (508) 746-6432 or mnelson119@comcast.net.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and device identifiers) to keep the site working correctly, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure the performance of our advertising.

We may use third-party services for these purposes, which may include analytics and advertising platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Maps, call-tracking software, and social advertising pixels. These providers may set their own cookies and receive information about your visit, including your IP address, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not control how those providers use the information they collect.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you block cookies, parts of our website may not work as intended. Many advertising platforms also offer their own opt-out controls, and some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that perform work on our behalf — scheduling and job-management software, payment processors, text and email delivery providers, website hosting, analytics, and accounting — and only to the extent needed to perform that work for us.
  • Subcontractors. Where we use a licensed subcontractor to perform part of your job, we share the information needed to complete the work.
  • Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case the information would remain subject to this policy or a successor policy.
  • With your direction. Any other sharing you ask us or authorize us to do.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide services to you and to satisfy the business, tax, insurance, warranty, and legal-recordkeeping purposes described in this policy. Estimate and job records are generally retained for the length of any applicable warranty and any period required by law or our insurers, after which they are deleted or anonymized. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so except where we are required or permitted to keep it.

How We Protect Information

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. These include serving our website over an encrypted connection, restricting access to customer records to the staff who need it, using reputable software vendors that maintain industry-standard security practices, and requiring account credentials for the systems that hold customer information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You may, at any time:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep for legal, tax, warranty, or insurance reasons;
  • opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message; and
  • opt out of text messages by replying STOP, as described above.

To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

State Privacy Rights

Residents of some states — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing number of others — have additional rights under state privacy laws, which may include the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to obtain a copy, the right to correct or delete it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and the right to appeal a decision we make about a request. As stated above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, or to appeal a decision, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
