Excellent attention to detail, good communication, and fair pricing for our exterior painting project! We were very happy with the work performed by the crew that Marc assigned to our project. They happily handled a few… additional minor requests not included in the specifics of the proposal, in addition to completing the work originally agreed to (including replacement of a number of siding shingles, and rotted board trim). Would recommend to others without hesitation.

We got 4 quotes from various painting companies in the area. We ultimately decided to hire Nelson Painting not because of price, but because of procedure. After meticulous prep work, including carpentry and trim work,… they applied the paint with traditional brushes, not sprayers, to work the paint into all the crevices of wood siding....in other words, the RIGHT way!! The work crew was very neat, courteous and friendly, and they made sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the job. We were so happy, we had them repaint all the decks and stairs at a fair upcharge. Houses on the southeast coast take a beating, so hand brushing is the way to go, and Nelson Painting was the ONLY company we priced out to offer it! Marc and his team did an excellent job on our interior and exterior painting. They completed the job per the estimate and went the extra mile repairing woodwork damage and replacing a broken window, They communicated… well and worked very efficiently. I highly recommend them!

Years ago, I was a painting contractor in NY state so, I know exactly what to look for and what to avoid when selecting one for my personal needs. Marc Nelson’s staff were polite and professional. Their work was neat and… clean. Importantly, all surfaces to be painted were cleaned and prepared properly without damaging shrubbery, etc. They also completed some light carpentry repairs – a nice service for a painter to have. It avoided my having to find a carpenter to fix some minor rot I had around door frames, etc. Special care was taken to protect my new roof and deck as promised. Finally, many painting projects have unexpected issues that arise. What matters is how the contractor responds to them. In my case, there was a miscommunication regarding the siding color between Nelson and their paint supplier resulting in the wrong color stain being applied to about half the siding before I recognized the problem. To their credit, Nelson replaced the stain with the correct color and repainted the siding multiple times without issue. Overall, my project came out great. Nelson Painting is high on my list for my future interior painting projects.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. I’ve actually never written a review but I feel so strongly about my INCREDIBLY GREAT experience with Nelson Painting that I had to try to put it in words! I am a trustee of a… townhouse building in Plymouth. We were long overdue for exterior painting and Also trim replacement. Marc Nelson gave an estimate that was more than fair and payment terms were very acceptable. His crew arrived each morning and attacked our project like it was a choreographed ballet! We had prep guys, trim replacement techs, and painters, all working in unison. I had the opportunity to speak with (almost) every guy on the project and they were all more than willing to discuss the process. It really all happened unexpectedly quick. From estimating, scheduling, to completion...it was just top shelf. We were informed of the process every step of the way. We recently had the pleasure of having Nelson Painting paint our home. We are very pleased with how the house looks and our experience with Nelson Painting. First, contact was made via e mail and a response was quickly… forthcoming. Marc Nelson scheduled a site visit and walked the property with us and noted the work we were looking to have completed. He said he would get back to me with a quote no later than Friday afternoon and it was in my hands late Thursday. Straight forward outline of the work to be done and a fair price. Marc said he'd be able to finish up the work well before some out of town guests were scheduled to visit us. His crew prepared the house and painted/stained as quoted. There were a number of recommendations on stain type (solid vs. semi solid) and we got exactly what we agreed on. The Nelson Painting crew were professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Hard working folks who take obvious pride in their work. We were fortunate to get Nelson Painting as a recommendation from a woman who is married to a building contractor.
