Who Cabinet Refinishing Is For

A Fresh Look for Every Space and Every Budget

Whether you are updating a family kitchen, refreshing rental units between tenants, or staging a home for sale, professionally refinished cabinets deliver the biggest visual impact for the lowest investment.

For Homeowners

Your kitchen cabinets set the tone for the entire room. If faded oak, chipped paint, or an outdated color scheme makes you cringe every morning, refinishing transforms the heart of your home in days, not months, and at a fraction of what new cabinets would cost.

For Property Managers & Realtors

Dated cabinets are one of the first things buyers and tenants notice. A professional cabinet refinish freshens up kitchens and bathrooms quickly, helping units move faster and commanding higher rents or sale prices without a full renovation budget.

What We Refinish

Cabinet Refinishing Services for Every Room

From kitchen cabinets to bathroom vanities and built-in shelving, our refinishing process restores any cabinetry to like-new condition. Click a tab below to learn what each service includes.

Kitchen cabinets take the hardest beating of any painted surface in your home. Years of cooking grease, steam, fingerprints, and daily wear break down finishes faster than walls or trim ever will. That is exactly why cabinet refinishing demands a higher level of preparation than standard interior painting, and why hiring a company that understands surface chemistry makes all the difference.

Our kitchen cabinet refinishing service includes removal of all doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. We label everything for precise reinstallation. Surfaces are cleaned with TSP-based degreasers, sanded with 120- to 220-grit progressions, primed with bonding primer formulated for slick surfaces, and finished with two coats of premium cabinet-grade paint. We spray-apply the finish for a smooth, factory-quality result free of brush marks or roller texture.

Popular kitchen cabinet colors right now include crisp whites, warm taupes, sage greens, navy blue, and two-tone combinations where the island is a contrasting shade. We help you choose a color and sheen that complements your countertops, backsplash, and flooring.

From Start to Finish

How Our Cabinet Refinishing Process Works

A durable cabinet finish starts long before paint ever touches the surface. Here is exactly what happens during your project, step by step, so you know what to expect from day one.

1

We start with a walk-through of your kitchen or bathroom. Marc or a senior crew member examines the cabinet material, current finish condition, and any damage that needs attention. We discuss your color preferences, timeline, and budget. You will receive a detailed written proposal within 24 hours.

2

Every door, drawer front, and piece of hardware is carefully removed and labeled with a numbered tagging system. This ensures precise reinstallation later. We set up a dedicated spray area and protect your countertops, floors, appliances, and walls with plastic sheeting and drop cloths.

3

This is the step most painters rush through, and the number one reason cabinet paint jobs fail prematurely. Kitchen cabinets accumulate years of grease, cooking oils, and grime that are invisible to the eye but prevent adhesion. We scrub every surface with TSP-based degreasers until the substrate is completely clean. No shortcuts, no exceptions.

4

After degreasing, we sand all surfaces with a progressive grit sequence, typically starting at 120-grit and finishing at 220-grit. This creates the microscopic tooth that primer and paint need to bond permanently. Any dents, scratches, or imperfections are filled and smoothed at this stage. We use dustless sanders to keep your home clean.

5

We apply a professional-grade bonding primer specifically formulated for cabinetry. This is not the same primer used on walls. Bonding primers are engineered to adhere to slick, previously-finished surfaces and create a uniform base coat that locks out stains and tannin bleed. The primer is lightly sanded between coats for maximum smoothness.

6

Two coats of premium cabinet-grade paint are spray-applied for a smooth, factory-like finish with zero brush marks or roller texture. We use HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray equipment for precise, even coverage. Your chosen color and sheen are applied in a controlled environment to prevent dust, drips, or imperfections.

7

Each coat is allowed proper dry time between applications. While the surface will feel dry within 24 to 48 hours, full cure takes up to 30 days. During this curing period, we advise gentle use and avoiding harsh cleaners. We provide specific care instructions so your finish reaches maximum hardness and durability.

8

Once fully cured, doors and drawer fronts are reinstalled using our numbered labeling system. Hardware is attached, whether you are keeping the originals or upgrading. We adjust hinges and drawer slides so everything opens, closes, and aligns perfectly.

9

We walk through the completed project with you, inspecting every door, drawer, and frame together. If anything does not meet your expectations, we address it on the spot. Most kitchen cabinet projects are completed within 5 to 7 working days from start to finish, depending on the size and condition of your cabinetry.
